Litigation Paralegal |
| My name is Victorialei “Nohea” Nakaahiki. I am currently a Senior Litigation
Paralegal at Day Casebeer Madrid & Batchelder, LLP in Cupertino,
California. I have been a litigation paralegal since 1988 specializing in the
areas of maritime/admiralty law, construction, toxic tort litigation and
intellectual property litigation. I attended the ABA-approved paralegal program
at Kapi’olani Community College, earning an A.S. Degree in Paralegal Studies in
1993. |
|
| I have been active in the paralegal profession, both on the local and national
levels, previously serving, among other positions, as the President of the
Hawaii Paralegal Association and the Vice President/Director of Membership of
the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (“NFPA”). I most recently
served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Paralegal Association as
the Primary Representative to the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations
(“CAPA”), as the Vice President of Communications of the Brigham Young
University Hawaii Alumni Association, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, and
appointed Commissioner to the Juvenile & Justice Delinquency Prevention
Commission for the County of Santa Cruz |
|
| Having worked for one of the largest law firms in Hawaii for most of my career,
I owe much of my success as a paralegal to the attorneys I worked for and to
the seasoned paralegals I worked closely with back home in Hawaii. I am
indebted to these professionals for serving as my mentors and for instilling
upon me their passion and dedication for the profession. |
